Since I haven't written much about the kiddos, I'm going to dedicate an entire post to them :)
First, Hunter Riley. He is 4 (will be 5 August 29th) and is growing so fast! He LOVES playing with action figures: spiderman, wrestlers, batman, you get the picture. He is a real boy most of the time, jumping off furniture (yes, he gets in trouble for that), running through the house (yet another no-no), screaming, etc. etc. etc.... Then there are times when he is a little mama's boy... telling me I look pretty & wanting me to paint his toenails (not pink like mine, but orange).
He LOVES video games (keeping them G rated of course) and Nick Jr.. He will be starting Kindergarten in August! I cannot believe it. But he is ready & it will be so good for him. He is very smart. He knows all of his letters & is starting to try and spell words. He loves playing the rhyming words/ opposites games. And loves activity books (mazes & word searches). He likes playing baseball & might be starting next season at the YMCA.
Avery Marie will be 4 months old on April 7th... We can't believe she has grown so fast! It feels like just yesterday she was born. If you read yesterday's post, you know that she turned over all by herself for the first time. That was very exciting. She is trying to "self-soothe" now, holding her paci by herself. This may not seem like a big deal, but it is to us. She has slept through the night for a while now (thank God because Hunter still doesn't-he usually wakes up sometime... of course, he goes back to sleep, but still).
She has started teething already (unfortunately). And is constantly "eating her hands". She is a little diva already & Hunter calls her a drama queen. They love watching Yo Gabba Gabba together (a very creepy show in my opinion- it is on Nick Jr. though so I know it is encouraging some kind of learning).
We took Avery to her first trip to the zoo not too long ago & she didn't really understand of course, but she LOVES being outside, so it was fun.... Too bad we got a flat tire :(
She is laughing now when you tickle her especially. It is too cute.
The only sad part of the kids growing up (besides I wish they would stay little forever) is not having their Grandpa's... I know they are both looking down on them, but I would have loved for them to see the kids grow up-because oh my gosh, it is so much fun!
Hope everyone has a wonderful sunny day! (It is 77 degrees right now & very pretty outside here in Ft. Worth).
