We woke up this morning, as usual, to Avery's beautiful voice saying (in her own language) GET UP!! I'M HUNGRY! So I trudged to the kitched yawning multiple times to fix her a morning bottle. I trudged back and that is when it happened. The dreaded phone call from Cody's mom asking us to go to church for Easter Sunday. Now, I promise that I am a good person & I pray to God every single day. We have a relationship, but I have not been to church in almost 5 years... So I reluctantly agreed to go this time.
We showered & got Avery ready in her cute Easter dress (within 5 seconds she had spit up on it) oh well, she had to leave her mark somehow... (Hunter was unfortunately at his dad's for the weekend) So there were just three of us that had to get ready... We were late, of course but this church seemed very laid back. We walk in & everyone is greeting us, shaking our hands, commenting on my beautiful daughter :) I automatically felt comfortable there. They say contemporary songs and the Pastor was hilarious and really made everyone pay attention. (I'm sorry, I was raised Catholic... 100% but oh my gosh it was boring & repetitive) NOT THIS CHURCH! On our way out, we got a Bible for promising we'd return soon.
After church we went to Cody's grandparents house (We call her Grammy) for Easter egg hunting (still, we missed Hunter, but weren't going to sit around & pout all day for Avery's first Easter) So we took Avery outside (her favorite place) and put her little piggies in the pool!! She LOVED it!
Then, we went to pick Hunter up FINALLY! And went to my dad's house to see what the Easter bunny had brought us. My dad, well, isn't the type of grandpa that calls & begs for us to come over. It is quite the opposite actually... me, calling him asking if it is okay for us to stop by... Anyways, long story short, we go over there & toss the football around for awhile. Hunter LOVES it over there :)
Then came home to see what the Easter bunny had left for the kiddos...
Overall, a very busy but fun Easter! Next year Hunter will be with us & Avery will know what is going on! I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter :)
Your kids are gorgeous. Avery looks just like her daddy. I wish we lived closer. Have a great day!
