Howdy, I am so bad at this. I barely have time to shower, let alone write a blog. So since I had surgery yesterday (and am allowed to be lazy) I am going to put up some updates.
First, you are probably wondering about my surgery. For over a year now, I've gotten the dreaded "abnormal cells" feedback from my PAPs. So, after tons of biopsies & freezing procedures (ouch) my doctor decided to do what is called a LEEP. She went into my cervix and removed this tissue that is pre-cancerous.
The last time I had surgery was when I was 8 getting my tonsils out. To this day, I still have nightmares about the mask they put over my face to get me to fall asleep. So yesterday, my nerves were outrageous. I think that is why my body hurts so much today. When I am nervous, I shake my legs & tense up pretty bad.
Long story short (awe, that saying reminds me of my Papa...) everything wasn't as scary as I made it out to be. I actually was sad to wake up. It was so peaceful, I could have used a few hours of interrupted sleep :)
They removed more tissue than they had expected, it was deeper than they thought. So, I will have to get extra PAPs & be very aware for a while.
Hunter has been at his other grandparents since Tuesday night and I miss him to death. But it is also good for him to spend time with them. And after almost 5 years of waiting on him hand & foot, it is kind of nice to not have to worry about him & his needs for a few days. (that doesn't make me a bad mom, right?)
He has actually been getting into some trouble recently. I don't know if it's his age or the fact that he goes to his dad's every other weekend, or the combo of both, but I have tried everything. He continues to talk back & scream!! I don't even recognize him anymore.... He used to be so calm. But he starts Kindergarten in August, I think that will help A LOT.
Avery is growing too fast for me. This morning, after her morning bottle around 7 (like always) she layed in bed with me and put her arms around my neck & just started singing to me. (baby language of course) But it was just the CUTEST. I wanted to freeze that moment & just enjoy it forever...
She has found her piggies. It is simply adorable when she just grabs a hold of them!! No more toenail polish for miss Avery! :)
She has started a couple of 2nd stage baby foods, which is so much fun! Today, Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal. She loves it, of course, since she's a little fatty ha ha. She also loves carrots, apples, sweet potatoes, peas, pears... the list goes on. She does NOT like green beans & peaches gave her a bad tummy ache! So no more of those two. It is so funny, when we eat, she just STARES at our food & drinks. She is so ready to be bigger, it scares me!
She is trying her hardest to scoot!! I want her to STOP growing up, seriously. I don't know what I will do tomorrow when she turns 5 months old :( probably cry!
Well, I will post some pictures, time to find something to eat, my stomach is a little queezy... :-/
